Tony Utrie, LCSW

Meet Tony Utrie, LCSW

Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion and understanding.

My Passion and Focus

I have a passion for working with neurodivergent individuals, helping them embrace their unique strengths while building confidence, autonomy, and self-appreciation. Whether you're facing life transitions, struggling with self-doubt, or seeking greater balance, I am here to support you on your journey toward personal growth and well-being.

My Background

I earned both my Bachelor's in Psychology and Master's in Social Work from UW-Madison, where my passion for mental health and personal growth truly took root. Over the years, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals facing a range of mental health challenges that impact their well-being, relationships, and future aspirations.

"I believe everyone has the inner strength to thrive—let's uncover yours together."

Professional Experience

My journey in the helping profession began as a resident counselor and group home manager here in Madison, where I supported individuals in developing social, coping, and independent living skills to successfully transition to community living.

Later, in my role at UW-Madison, I provided case management for students navigating mental health concerns that were affecting their academic and personal success. As a key member of the university's Behavioral Intervention Team, I collaborated with campus partners to advocate for and support students in crisis.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that every individual possesses the strength and potential to heal and thrive. I prioritize creating a safe and affirming space where you can explore your challenges, build self-acceptance, and develop strategies to live a more fulfilling life.
